Thailand is known for a lot of things.
The food, the weather, the lady-boys.
All are as hot as you’ve heard.
So when I was given the opportunity to let my inner female aspect shine through, I tucked back my inhibitions with masking tape and gumption and let my freak flag fly. Well, not really, the masking tape really did it’s job.
In 2014 we celebrated our third year of adventures in Asia. Three years of living, traveling and working in a part of the world that we have fallen in love with the more we get to know it. This year we worked for four months, unexpectedly traveled for seven months, and spent the end of the year in California with our families and friends.

It’s a common misconception that couples traveling long term are on a big romp around the globe, swinging arm in arm in romantic settings and drinking beers at sunset.
While that’s mostly true, and is definitely what most of us post on our websites and social media, we must admit to you that that’s not always the case.
Long term travel and living abroad with your partner is amazing most of the time, but there are plenty of times when it’s not.
Especially when traveling on a tight budget, our travels can end up being the exact opposite of sexy and glamorous.
